When I was 21 years old I had a garage sale to make money so I could start seeing a therapist. One of my friends had been seeing a therapist and I could see that her life was changing. Going through that season opened my eyes to what I did not know. I had the power and ability to change my relationships by choosing how I interacted with people. Setting boundaries was a new idea for me. I got to decide who I connected with and from whom I disconnected. My life began to change, I began to grow and get stronger.

I received my B.S. in Home Economics Education from Middle Tennessee State University in 1993. Home Economics Education? Yes! Why? Because I have always loved the idea of creating a home and having a loving family. Not only did I want that, I wanted other people to have that too. I have been married for 29 years to my favorite person, Jamey Durham. Our life together has included moves across the country, career changes, and parenting three amazing children that are currently entering adulthood. We have experienced loss, challenge, joy and sorrow.

My mission is to provide an honest, compassionate, and empathetic space for my clients in order to promote personal growth, and relational wholeness. A large portion of my therapy practice is made up of people of faith. My office is a safe place for people to wrestle with the hard questions that religion presents.
